More capacity for Port Louis

Port Louis container terminal in Mauritius is being redeveloped this year as part of a US$174M overhaul of the port. The terminal has an official handling capacity of 200,000 TEU/year but the port is already handling many more containers, partly through utilising its multi-purpose terminal, so the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) has decided to expand the terminal. The revamped facility is expected to have capacity of 700,000 TEU.
