Berth utilisation low at new Taipei terminal

Because of low utilisation of the first two berths at Taipei Port Container Terminal (TPCT), which became operational in March this year, the opening of Berths 3 and 4 has been postponed until next year. “Utilisation rate of the two berths is below 50% because of the global recession,” a TPCT official said.”
