US ports win US$ 148M in grants to reduce pollution

Ninety-five US ports have applied for US$3.32B in funding from the US$1.5B TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) Discretionary Grant Program administered by the US Department of Transportation (DoT). Berthing infrastructure and equipment feature heavily in port proposals, especially mobile harbour cranes.
