NewsThe former CEO of Ports of Auckland has been personally charged with breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 over the death of a stevedore during lashing operations.
A new governance structure for Ports of Auckland Ltd (POAL) in New Zealand has brought the port’s costs and productivity under fire. The port was previously controlled by a “regional council” that was replaced last year after a lengthy review of Auckland’s wider political structure.
