Tercat “to be 30% more efficient”

The €500M investment that Hutchison has made in automation at the new Tercat terminal at Barcelona’s El Prat quay is forecast to boost productivity by 30%. However, management and unions are still discussing staffing levels at the new terminal, given a reduced need for traditional stevedoring skills.
