Global’s grand plan unveiled

Global Container Terminals Inc (GCT) has unveiled its plan to expand its terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey. The expansion is possible following a deal in 2007 where GCT sold its 98-acre property to the Port of New York/New Jersey, which combined it with an adjacent site previously used as an auto terminal, leased the larger 170-acre site back to GCT for 37 years and agreed to contribute US$150M towards certain aspects of the project.
