ZIM fosters Durres container traffic

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services has added Durres to its circular Adriatic Express Service (ADX), so the rotation is now Haifa-Ashdod-Koper-Durres-Trieste-Venice-Ravenna-Alexandria- Haifa. The service is managed in the port by GALA (German Albanian Logsitics Company), an affiliate of Germany- based logistics company EMS Shipping and Trading.

Zim Integrated Shipping Services is the latest carrier to post poorer quarterly results. However, while most of its competitors remained profitable, Zim posted a net loss for the period of US$2.3B. This included a non-cash impairment loss of US$2.1B. In the corresponding period of 2022, Zim reported a profit of US$1.2B.
