Metro Ports on the Great Lakes
NewsMetro Ports will operate a bulk terminal at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor at the foot of Lake Michigan.
Nautilus International Holding Corp’s subsidiaries Suderman Contracting Stevedores, and Suderman Terminals will now be known as Metro Ports, Metro Cruise Services and Metro Shore Services
Metro Ports, Metro Cruise Service and Metro Shore Services will become the totally operative brand service and business identification of Suderman. This change will have no effect on the current legal status of the Suderman companies. The Suderman companies, headquartered in Galveston, Texas serve a diverse array of cargo and cruise sectors, including dry bulk, project cargo, wind energy and the passenger cruise industry.
Nautilus states that since it purchased Suderman Contracting Stevedores and Suderman Terminals in July 2011, Suderman and Metro Ports have complemented each other synergistically, brought additional business opportunities, increased operational efficiencies and realized improvements through innovative service solutions.
Metro Ports. continues Nautlius, will bring the marketing strength of the national brand and operational support of the organisation to the Gulf Coast operations as Suderman now is fully integrated into the Nautilus/Metro Ports environment.
