OMT welcomes its largest container ship

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has released port statistics for 2013. The country’s ports handled a total of 76.887 Mt of cargo in 2013, almost the same as the 76.856 Mt figure for 2012. However, the number of containers handled jumped from 877,737 TEU in 2012 to 1,010,836 TEU last year, a rise of 15.2%.
