Labour disruptions hit the west coast
NewsThe ILWU and PMA are rumoured to have an agreement on automation, but “rank-and-file” union members withheld labour over the PMA’s position on wage increases.
At the time of writing, the ILWU and the PMA have agreed a “tentative contract” for the US West Coast. The five-year deal still has to be approved by the ILWU’s 13,000 [voting] members in 29 ports.
