DP World to operate Dar es Salaam

In December, the newly elected President of Tanzania, John Magufuli, sacked the director general and chairman of Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA), Awadhi Massawe and Prof Joseph Msambichaka, respectively, over the “disappearance” from customs records of more than 2,700 containers at Dar es Salaam.
