A new study entitled Terminais Portuários e Infra-estruturas Logísticas em Portugal by the Studies Centre for Economy and Management at the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto, along with consultants TRENMO, has concluded that there is absolutely no point in building a new port at Barreiro, on the south bank of the River Tagus in Lisbon.
