Port of Singapore reigns supreme

The new east-west alliances (2M, Ocean and The Alliance), which officially start operations in April, have picked Singapore as their main hub in South East Asia. On the basis of research conducted by Singapore consultant/research group Alphaliner, the region’s biggest hub will accommodate 34 calls a week on the key Asia/ Europe/Asia trade. This compares with 29 weekly calls currently, a 17% increase.
