Gothenburg gets new customer

The Port of Gothenburg set a new container volume record in the first quarter of 2024, continuing the momentum from its milestone year in 2023.

The dredging will take the fairway from 13.5m to a maximum 17.5m ship draught and the channel will be able to accommodate ships up to 430m long and 65m wide.

Furthermore, with the addition of a newly opened office in Bilbao, Samskip sets up to support its growth strategy in the Iberian Peninsula.

Samskip inaugurates a dedicated shortsea service connecting Rotterdam, Oslofjord, and the UK.

Hydrogen fuel cells are an option for shore power connections as they align with the hydrogen infrastructure that many ports are implementing or have planned.

Samskip is adding the port of Klaipeda to its Baltic Sea service network to increase service capacity.
