Kenya and Uganda to extend Standard Gauge Railway line

The governments of Kenya and Uganda have reached an agreement on extending the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Naivasha in Kenya to Kampala in Uganda. However, whether construction work will actually begin appears to depend on whether both governments can secure sufficient funding for the project, the final costs of which have not been determined.
