Algeciras secures EU ETS guarantee
The Port of Algeciras Authority (APBA), with support from other Spanish ports and the National Ports Authority, has achieved a notable victory in cushioning box terminals in the Iberian Peninsula from ports immediately outside of the EU exploiting loopholes in its Emissions Trading System (ETS), which is due to be introduced in January 2024.
