Lake Kivu port nears completion

The new Rwandan port of Rubavu is due to open on Lake Kivu in December or January. It will enable trade with other parts of Rwanda and particularly with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) on the western shore of the lake, which covers 2,700 km2.
