ECG wants stronger ties with car shippers
Closer ties between car makers (OEMs) and finished vehicle logistics providers (FVLs) were called for by Grimaldi Group of Naples’ Costantino Baldissara, president of EGC (European Cartrans Group) at ECG’s annual congress, held last month in Berlin.
Baldissara believes that a crossindustry partnership would improve efficiency, eliminate waste and advance the cause of environmental sustainability. He proposed the establishment of a joint committee comprising leading representatives of OEMs and FVLs.
