In July, DFDS Seaways and Forth Ports Ltd announced a joint investment of €6M to upgrade the freight-only ro-ro service between Rosyth and Zeebrugge. Scotland’s only direct ferry link with the Continent had been threatened with closure because of the high costs of low sulphur fuel in the SECA.
