EU votes to impose tariffs on Chinese electric cars
NewsEU Member States have voted to impose tariffs on Chinese battery electric vehicles (BEVs) as talks with Beijing continue.
Despite China’s role in global trade and its share of maritimerelated activities increasing, the country’s own supply chains remain very costly and inefficient compared with many western and industrialised nations. This needs to change, and the government is actively working on a six-year plan (initiated in 2014) that will improve the nation’s logistics network and take costs out of the system.
