Evergreen remaining ‘cautious’ about 2023
Taiwan’s Evergreen Marine remained upbeat about 2023 despite a weak performance in the first quarter of the year. Evergreen’s total revenue fell 60% to US$2.1B in Q1 2023 as its average revenue per TEU dropped from US$3,063 to US$1,031. Container loadings, however, were down only 2.6% in the first quarter, to 1.84M TEU.
