The accompanying tables from the three main suppliers of harbour mobile cranes (HMCs) indicate a further increase in global demand for this multi-purpose quayside crane concept. Liebherr-Werk Nenzing reports deliveries of 58 cranes last year – up 21 per cent on 2003 (48) and Gottwald Port Technology 64 (unchanged from 2003), including its rail portal-mounted (HSK) and latest barge-mounted variants (HPK).
