Last year was a bumper one for crane spreader suppliers – not surprising given the record volumes of container crane activity, and 2005 should also be good, due to the order backlog carried forward from 2004 and the continuing high level of demand. “Congestion” has become the “norm” for container terminals on many port ranges.
