Germany-based Stemmann-Technik GmbH, which kitted out the world’s first mains-powered RTGs in 2002 – it supplied a flexible cable reeling system for Kalmar RTGs in Oslo (the port had a “noise problem”) – has successfully retrofitted four RTGs in Singapore to run off conductor lines.
