Tandem cranes go single
RAM Spreaders has reported a significant run of orders for its SingFlex headblock, highlighting a change in thinking from some terminal operators on how best to achieve tandem 40ft container handling. Though there are well over 100 cranes with ZPMC’s dual hoist system for tandem operations in service, many operators have struggled to actually implement tandem lifting in their operation, making it difficult to get a return on the investment in a second hoist system.
