Kalmar books more straddle carriers

Hot on the heels of an order for 30 hybrid-drive shuttle carriers for APM Terminals’ Tanger-Med 2 (WorldCargo News, February 2017, p1), Kalmar has signed an order with HHLA for another 11 diesel-electric straddle carriers for Container Terminal Burchardkai, following an order last year for nine units. The machines will be used to transport containers from the STS cranes to the ASCs.
