China’s ports see 8.1% YoY volume growth in early 2024
NewsLast year, all the Chinese ports handled 16.97 Bt, having exceeded their 2022 volume by nearly 8%. Shanghai throughputs surged, Hong Kong saw a downfall.
Hong Kong-based infrastructure company NWS Holdings has set up a 50-year joint venture to build and manage 18 rail container terminals in China with total investment estimated at US$1.5B (see WorldCargo News November 2005, p1).
