Tesco turns wine to water

In a move that will take thousands of trucks off Britain’s congested roads and cut CO2 emissions by 80%, UK supermarket chain Tesco has transferred the transport of wine from the Port of Liverpool to a bottling plant in Manchester to a new barge service on the River Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal.
