Hupac packs a bigger punch in Antwerp

Swiss combined transport operator Hupac has officially opened its new terminal on schedule in the Port of Antwerp. As previously reported, the 53,000 m2 terminal is located close by DP World’s Churchilldok operation, and is run as a sub-concession from DP World.

It is equipped with five (un)loading tracks served by three all-electric widespan RMGs from Hanz Künz and has a capacity to handle 12 620m long train pairs/ day, equivalent to 600 road consignments. Annual capacity is estimated at 200,000 intermodal units, of which around 20% is expected to be maritime business.
