Metrans suspends service

Metrans has been forced to suspend its Slovakia-Turkey service between Dunajská Streda and Halkali, due to border security problems caused by the ongoing refugee crisis. The service was introduced in 2013, and was the first to call at the reopened Halkali Terminal in Istanbul. It has been a commercial success, making a contribution to a modal shift from all-road to combined transport.
