CP moves closer to closing KCS deal

Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) has received the required regulatory clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for its proposed merger with Kansas City Southern (KCS). However, CP is still waiting for the Surface Transportation Board (STB) to complete its regulatory review before it can take control of KCS.
