RDC pulls out of Mozambique

As previously speculated in WorldCargo News (August 2008, p15), US-based Railroad Development Corporation (RDC) has announced the sale of its stake in the Corredor de Desenvolvimento do Norte (CDN) consortium, which operates the Mozambican port of Nacala and the railway linking the port with Malawi and Zambia.

On 27 March, history was made when the first container freight train was moved between India and Bangladesh.
