Zagro for LogServ

News-in-print

Austria’s LogServ (Logistik Services GmbH) has acquired a bimodal Terberg/Zagro tractor from Zagro for wagon marshalling and hauling operations at the Linz plant of its Voestalpine Stahl parent group, following a Europewide tender.

The tractor, which weighs 29t, is able to haul up to 25 wagons with a total train weight of up to 2,800t. It is operated by remote control from the cabins of up to three cranes, working coal wagons as they are hauled along the tracks. Onboard cameras are linked to monitor screens in the crane cabs. The tractor is also equipped with an automatic start-stop system to reduce waiting times.
