CMA CGM to acquire 48% stake in Santos Brasil
NewsCMA CGM has signed an agreement to acquire a 48% stake in Santos Brasil, a multi-terminal operator managing key assets across Brazil’s ports.
Cargo bound for Finland will still be loaded as scheduled, with transhipment in Tallinn, albeit with an additional freight adjustment of EUR 350 per container.
The CMA CGM Group has announced that ongoing political labour actions across all Finnish ports are having an impact on its services.
The strike, which started on March 11th, has been extended until midnight on April 7th.
Consequently, CMA CGM is modifying its rotations, excluding Finnish ports from its routes. As a result, import cargo destined for Finland will either be discharged in Tallinn, Estonia, or held until the strike concludes.
Customers affected by this force majeure event can opt to proceed with their shipments to Tallinn, Estonia, as per clause 10 of the company’s Terms & Conditions, or choose to await delivery to their final destination in Finland after the strike ends.
Cargo bound for Finland will still be loaded as scheduled, with transhipment in Tallinn, albeit with an additional freight adjustment of EUR 350 per container to cover extra costs incurred due to the force majeure situation. Standard storage, demurrage, and detention conditions will apply to all cargo awaiting shipment.
Limited options may exist for ferry delivery to Finland on a case-by-case basis.
