The service is operated by Kombiverkehr in collaboration with MII (Mercitalia Intermodale) as rail haulier.

Northbound departures are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and transit time is less than 48 hours, according to Contship Italia. The service caters for 9ft 6in high cubes and has P400 clearance for trailers. Hazardous cargoes can also be carried.

The service caters for Munich-Northern Italy traffic, but as Melzo is Contship Italia’s steel wheel hub for container traffic, it also opens up opportunities for South German-Asia traffic over north Italian ports.
