DFDS will deploy two battery electric vessels on the English Channel by 2030, as part of a larger investment in green vessels totaling DKK 7.3B (EUR 978M).

The international transport network of Ekol Logistics has 3,700 employees and logged sales of DKK 3.5B (EUR 470M) in 2023.

Following completion, CEVA expects to handle around 47,000 vehicles a year and to reach an annual volume of 95,000 vehicles by March 2025.

Frankfurt-based Kombiverkehr KG is expanding its intermodal rail services in Sweden and will from mid-January be including calls at Hallsberg, Norrköping and Stockholm Norra (Rosersberg, which is located about 30km north of the city). Previously, Kombiverkehr’s operations in the country were confined to terminals in Gothenburg, Malmö and Trelleborg.

DFDS, which operates one of the most extensive freight and passenger ferry networks in the North Sea, Baltic and eastern Mediterranean regions, is expanding its reach into the western Mediterranean (Strait of Gibraltar).

The port of Dunkirk will shortly be included in CMA-CGM’s Europe Pakistan India Consortium service in both directions
