People on the move – big change at Kalmar

Pekka Ala-Pietilä has been proposed as the Chair of the Board of the potential separately listed standalone Kalmar and will chair a new Demerger Committee; and Michel Van Roozendaal is leaving Cargotec and his role as President of the Kalmar business unit with immediate effect

Philipp Alexander Jörss, formerly with Rickmers, has joined Hapag Lloyd as head of asset management, a new post; Jens Siedentopf joins Combi Lift; changes at the top for MPA Singapore and Kuehne & Nagel; new CEO for Grindrod Group; and many other appointments

The proposed merger is still subject to regulatory approvals in certain jurisdictions, but the companies expect it to take place by the end of H1 2022 – six months later than originally projected – and have issued a joint statement on the structure of the merged company and the heads of the new Business Units
