Trelleborg launches Dynamoor

Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation has launched DynaMoor, a dynamic mooring solution designed to maintain constant tension in mooring lines to dampen vessel movements

Trelleborg launches Dynamoor

Dynamoor is a complement to Trelleborg’s vacuum-based automated mooring system Automoor, launched recently in the Baltic. As Trelleborg is a noted fender, capstan and bollard systems supplier, introducing sophisticated mooring products is a natural extension of its business.

Dynamoor is designed to eliminatie the effect that passing ships and long-period waves have on moored vessels, so it can increase port and terminal throughput by allowing operations to continue in a wider range of conditions, while improving safety and reducing operational costs.

Used with the ship’s mooring lines and winches or able to operate independently, DynaMoor can form part of a complete jetty solution integrated with Trelleborg’s Quick Release Hooks, AutoMoor, Smart Bollards, or be deployed as a separate system.

DynaMoor units can be rail-mounted for a wide range of mooring configurations and can come with an optional capstan fitted. Added safety interlocks prevent inadvertent or unauthorized release. The system also has the ability to release mooring lines remotely in an emergency and monitors loads in real-time, says Trelleborg.
