WACT teams up with Starsight Energy to install solar system
NewsWest Africa Container Terminal partners with Starsight Energy to deploy solar energy, replacing 30% of diesel power, and reducing carbon emissions by 20kt.
Tangier interest running high
The proposed US$1 bill Tanger (Tangier) container port project is claimed to have attracted international “majors” for the first container terminal concession, which is scheduled for award in October this year (see WorldCargo News February 2003, p9). The Kingdom of Morocco also plans to invite bids for a second container terminal in October.
