Kazakhstan plans new China-Russia transit route
NewsKazakhstan is developing a new trade route from China to Russia via the Irtysh River, with a port and railway planned, aiming for completion by 2026.

Severstaltrans, part of Russia’s largest metals producer Severstal Group and already the country’s largest private rail operator, is looking to acquire more rail business and is prepared to sell up some of its port interests to help achieve it.
