SGL and Hapag-Lloyd sign major biofuel deal
NewsScan Global Logistics and Hapag-Lloyd partnered on a multimillion-dollar ocean biofuel initiative, advancing their shared sustainability goals.
The Port of Rotterdam is still experiencing strong growth, particularly in container traffic, which increased by 16 per cent last year to 8.3 mill TEU. This trend continued in the first three months of this year with an 18 per cent hike over the corresponding period last year to 2.26 mill TEU, of which imports rose 22 per cent to 1.16 mill TEU and exports grew 16 per cent to 1.1 mill TEU, with one of the strongest growth areas being intra-European traffic.
