Trenitalia (FS Cargo) has put the cat among the pigeons. Managing director Mauro Moretti said at a forum organised by the Italian association of port authorities that his organisation wants to take a direct stake in port operations and compete with major international players such as Contship-Eurogate and PSA International that enjoy the lion’s share of the country’s container traffic.
