Bremen gets a bigger HUG

Container handling is booming for Port of Bremen operator Hansakai Umschlagsbetriebe GmbH & Co KG (HUG) and the company has purchased an additional reach stacker, a model CS 45 kM from CVS Ferrari, to cope with the extra traffic.

The traffic growth is mainly due to traffic being transferred from both Bremerhaven and Hamburg to Bremen. “We have space but that is one commodity that is in short supply in Bremerhaven and Hamburg,” explains HUG’s managing director Peter Vieth.
