Montreal Port Authority has signed an agreement with R J Corman Railpower to purchase a multiple-generator genset locomotive for intermodal switch operations. The C$1.6M deal, helped by a federal grant under Transport Canada’s ecoFREIGHT programme, includes an option for four more Railpower locomotives, each rated at 2000 hp.
