France’s leading container ports fared relatively well in 2011. The longcontested port reform laws finally went through in the spring. Investment picked up and business improved on the back of increased confidence in the national container sector and recovery in the European economy. Growth slowed down in the second half, however, as the problems in the eurozone worsened.
