New combi terminal for Marseilles

A new on-dock intermodal rail terminal is to be built at Mourépiane, in the “old” port of Marseilles, some 80 km east of the Fos installations. Although megacarriers have increasingly gravitated towards Fos, Mourépiane is still busy handling containerships of medium size and the port authority (GPM de Marseille Fos) wants to ensure more cost-effective and greener inland distribution.
