Counting the cost of ASC delays

The delay in the time it takes software to allocate moves to ASCs at Virginia International Gateway (VIG) means the terminal is missing out on 210,000 ASC moves a year. Rich Ceci, who is now back at Virginia in the role senior VP of technology and projects at Virginia International Terminals, made the revelation while speaking at the Navis World conference in April in a session on Automated Decision Making and Artificial Intelligence.
