NewsThe first RTG crane at APM Terminals’ Rijeka Gateway has been fully assembled and stands tall in Maersk’s iconic blue.
Liebherr has enhanced its floating grab crane offer with the CBG 360, a 4-rope grab crane designed for high speed vessel-vessel or vessel-quay bulk transfer
Liebherr says that many years of experience from the operation of the preceding model, the CBG 350, have gone into the development of the CBG 360, which has a maximum capacity of 60t in hook operation and 48t in grab operation.
Boom lengths between 26m and 36m are possible and the outreach of the crane can be extended by up to 12m through an additional ex-centric platform (10m on CBG 350). As in all cranes of the CBG series, the key hydraulic and mechanical parts are positioned in a dustproof machine house, designed to ensure high resistance in all weather conditions.
The CBG 360 is said to be suitable not only for operation in sheltered waters, but also in open seas for servicing vessels up to Capesize. It is certified according to the EU's latest machinery directive.
