Plan modified at Italy’s Livorno port

Plans for the new Darsena Europa container terminal in Livorno are being reformulated after several bodies, including the Tuscany regional government and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in Rome, expressed concerns over the cost and timing of the existing authorisation. A new authorisation (“formulation notice”) will almost certainly be required, as the existing one expires at the end of September.
