Chabahar takes Afghan traffic

Iran’s new port of Chabahar, backed by India, is reported to have taken over from Karachi as the main export port for Afghani shippers, even though Karachi has direct access to the Indian Ocean, while Chabahar faces the Gulf of Oman, and its inland connectivity is poor.
